Tigrai scenes
Debre Damo is a a famous monestary situation on top of a hill and is only accessible by rope. Only males are allowed up to the monestary and this includes male sheep, cows and other livestock. The plains in Tigrai were the centre of the famine in the 1980s - no it didn't cover the whole of Ethiopia as I had originally thought. They reminded me of the Yorkshire Moors - well apart from the mud huts of course. |
