Bet Daneghal

This is either Bet Daneghal or Bet Meskel - both small cave churches in the Bet Maryam courtyard.  Bet Daneghal was reputedly constructed in honour of 50 nuns murdered by the Roman ruler Julian the Apostate in the 4th century. The resident priests of all the churches are issued with sunglasses with they don to protect their eyes from flash photography.
