Tis abay
Blue Nile Falls
Tis Abay means "smoke of the Nile" and used comprise 400m of water thundering over a 45m-high rock face. However, the recent completion of a hydro-electric dam has diverted 95% of the water. It was still rather pretty but you got the impression that you were too late to see the spectacular real thing. The walk to see it was fun, over the Portuguese bridge and past pipe playing shepherds.
